Bloomberg Co-Founder Tom Secunda Ranked #1 on Institutional Investor’s Top Tech List
Innovation has always been a key pillar in Bloomberg’s business model, and one of the driving forces behind that movement is Blooomberg LP Co-Founder Tom Secunda. Tom was recently recognized for his never-ending quest to improve Bloomberg, and the client experience by Institutional Investor, who ranked him #1 on their 2012 Tech 50 list.
Secunda told the trade publication our company has never stopped inventing “around the needs that our customers have.” This proves true in the creation of various mobile products, Bloomberg NEXT, the launch of Bloomberg Industries and the acquisition of PolarLake, to name a few.
Over the past 30 years, Bloomberg “has continuously scaled up technology development to match ever-increasing demand for market news and data, analytics and transaction services.” Tom said.
Institutional Investor, a leading global financial publication, has conducted the Tech 50 annually since 2000. The listing ranks those who lead the financial services industry in technological achievement and innovation. The publication’s editors and staff, with nominations and input from industry participants and experts, determine the rankings in four key areas: career achievements and contributions, scope and complexity of responsibilities, influence and leadership inside and outside one’s organization, and pure technological innovation.
